Mint 19 and get-iplayer? Solved

Post by David1293 »

Hi, all
I tried to install get-iplayer today, using Mint Mate 19, but it doesn't seem to be in the repositories. I've also tried the hedgerows PPA, but I get no command in the terminal.
Does anyone know if it will work any time soon in Mint mate 19?
If not, should I revert to 18.3, which is supported for a while?
Regards
D

Just to confirm, you did this:

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer
sudo apt-get update
And I assume, followed with this:

Code: Select all

apt install get-iplayer
Is this correct?

Hi

Yes, that's exactly what I did. But it gave an error in the terminal.

Hi
I'm afraid I didn't make an exact note, but it was something like gives no command.

Anyway, thank you for replying. I've now managed to install iplayer.
