Remove extraneous Fonts and Language Packs [ Solved ]

Post by AZgl1800 »

When I want to change the font, I am met with a trillion different fonts from almost every country in the world.

while it is neat that Linux supports everyone regardless of locale, I only want English US, and the old standard fonts.

going thru Software Manager to get rid of the extra ones is tedious, is there some way I can shortcut this process?

and while I am at it, why not remove all of the Language packs that I can't read, which is all of them except for English....

sorry folks, I went to a rural school and no foreign languages were presented.... shame.

Trillion fonts?
I still miss Braille in italics and bold and emoticons for the deaf.

You can try Font Manager https://fontmanager.github.io/, or at least get some info from Pjotr's Easy Linux tips project https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/4 to Remove most Asian fonts...

You asked this question two days ago and got this answer.

boy, I must have missed "new posts" on that thread somehow, and zipped right by it.
that was one wonderful tip from DAMIEN1307

that took care of the fonts.
