I have Mint 18.3 and recently installed MATE.
The problem is that all too often it changes the desktop wallpaper to a black/blank screen and moves all the desktop icons over to the left of the screen.
On reboot the desktop is as I originally laid out and still want. But I certainly do not want to reboot all the time just to get my desktop in order.
What must I do to prevent that ? Thanks.
