I recently upgraded from 18.3 cinnamon to 19 cinnamon. Since then, when opening the 'dropbox' folder from the tray icon, the folder is displayed in 'Files' rather than in 'Nemo' (it displayed in Nemo before the upgrade).
Can anyone tell me how to force it to open in 'Nemo'?
TIA
Dropbox tray icon opens with 'Files' instead of 'Nemo'.

In Software Manager there are seven entries for Dropbox. Perhaps you need to install the version for Nemo, called Nemo-dropbox.
Files = Nemo. Open Files, click on "Help", click on "About".

Thanks for your answer kyphi.
The two dropbox entries that I have installed are dropbox and nemo-dropbox, I have tried uninstalling then installing again from scratch, but no change.

The File Manager is known by different names depending on which Linux distribution or distribution version is used.
1. Nemo
2. Nautilus
3. Caja
4. Dolphin
5. Thunar
It is also simply called Files. So, if dropbox opens in Files, it actually opens in Nemo. If you open Files, click on "Help" and then on "About" it will come up with a screen that says Nemo.
There are many more File Managers.

Files and nemo are not the same thing. Nemo was forked from Nautilus, which was later renamed 'Files'.
Re: Dropbox tray icon opens with 'Files' instead of 'Nemo'.
In Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon, Files is Nemo, the File Manager.
The image you posted of Files, is the Ubuntu Nautilus File Manager used by early versions of Linux Mint.
You stated that you upgraded from Linux Mint 18.3 to 19. Did you also upgrade from an earlier version to 18.3 and have thereby retained Nautilus?

You would've had to been upgrading for a very long time. Nemo has been the file manager for Cinnamon forever. The image you posted of Files, is the Ubuntu Nautilus File Manager used by early versions of Linux Mint.
Wouldn't the simple fix here be to remove Nautilus? Unless you have some specific reason to use it.
When I give opinions, they are my own. Not necessarily those of any other Linux Mint developer or the Linux Mint project as a whole.
Re: Dropbox tray icon opens with 'Files' instead of 'Nemo'.
I had a vanilla install of 18.3, which I later upgraded to 19. I found that I did have nautilus intalled, not sure why, but I removed it, and the dropbox icon now opens nemo.
Thank you both for your help.
