SDL_VIDEO_FULLSCREEN_DISPLAY not working in LM19 Cinnamon

Post by gibson »

Hello,

I'm using Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon (previously Kubuntu 18.04) w/Nvidia GeForce 660 graphics card and 3 monitors.

I am having an issue getting Wine games to start full screen on a specific monitor. It seems that the SDL_VIDEO_FULLSCREEN_DISPLAY environment variable doesn't work in Cinnamon. This worked fine in KDE Plasma (Kubuntu 18.04), but doesn't seem to work in Mint 19 Cinnamon. I'm not sure if the issue is specifically with Cinnamon, but from what I've been reading, it seems like it may be something with the way Cinnamon handles displays that is different that other DE's. I've tried both the Nvidia and Nouveau drivers, and they both seem behave the same. I've also tried creating /etc/X11/xorg.conf, which didn't help either. Any help in resolving this issue is highly appreciated.

Thanks!
