lxc container mystery

Post by bgoodwin91006 »

Hi All,
At some point in the past I seem to have acquired a container setup in some automatic way. If I type a CLI command; "lxc list" it shows a container named 'joint-gazelle'. I believe this is a part of containerizing the Firefox browser such that when Firefox is closed, its temporary container is destroyed; basically removing the browser trail. If I recall correctly, I responded positively to a Firefox option to containerize my browser but it's been a while, I could be wrong.

Just out of curiosity, I've search for information about joint-gazelle and come up empty. That has just made me even more curious. Something this unique must have surely have been questioned by now but .. no.

For fun, if someone can add some extra knowledge about this mysterious container, I think we all would benefit from understanding our system a little better.

Best regards,
Bob G.
