It won't find gksu because it was removed form Ubuntu 18.04 and Mint 19.
so you would have to go back to version 18.3 to get that program working in Mint.

or find a way to install gksu in 19. Which may not prove easy.
This ask Ubuntu page may be of help. (But NOTE: you do this at your own risk. It may break other things on your system.)

It may be better to just learn the DD commands and use the terminal to do what you want. https://linoxide.com/linux-command/linu ... -1gb-file/
Or install one of the many usb writers available.
I use etcher which can be downloaded from here : https://etcher.io download and run the appimage which does not need to be installed.
Good luck.

Depending on what you want to do, there are probably safer ways of doing it. dd is a very powerful utility, but one mis-type and you could trash your system. Its alternative title is 'disk destroyer'. In the last month we've had one post where this happened and the OP wiped their HDD.

Duh!! Had anothet look and the dd utility looks like a front end for dd. As an alternative, mkusb might fit the bill, installs okay in mint 18 and 19.
