Baloo installed but Search has never worked

Post by FuLl »

On Mint 18.3 KDE. Have never been able to use Dolphin's search functions. All I've done about it is confirmed baloo is installed. Search settings all appear fine- all plugins checked, & am not excluding anywhere.

Not sure what steps I should take to troubleshoot this. So am here for advice.

Thanks.

Please post the output of this terminal command:

Code: Select all

balooctl status
Enclose the results between [ⅽode] and [/ⅽode] code markers by selecting </> from the mini toolbar above the textbox where you type your reply. Note that it's a capital F in that command, followed by lower case xz.

balooctl status

Code: Select all

Baloo File Indexer is running
Indexer state: Indexing file content
Indexed 223 / 223 files
Current size of index is 287.11 MiB
Not sure what you're referring to with the F & xz
