Hello all,
I new to using Gimp. Had used Adobe Photoshop Elements for years.
Recently, I scanned several photos as one sheet and I'm separating each Polaroid pic to save each.
Sometimes, I need to rotate the one-sheet scan slightly so that I can draw an aligned rectangle around a pic that's a little askew.
Now, when I choose Rotate, I get a guide of squares. I'd like to hide/remove those.
Under the View menu, I've tried unticking "Show guides". Under the Image menu, and when I select Guides, Remove all Guides the Rotate dialog box closes.
Here's what I mean:
Can anyone help?

Re: How to hide guides while rotating in Gimp
That's has been bothering me and you motivated me to fix it! (The guides make the rotation more difficult - it'd be nice if the guide remained fixed and didn't follow the image).
Check the setting for the rotation tool; set guides to "no guides". (click pic to embiggen)
