I'm having a problem with VLC Videolan. I have a TV stb, Fetch Mighty, in Aus that records FTA programmes. Using VLC I can see the recordings and start them, but after a few minutes VLC freezes. Before it freezes it is playing perfectly. When it freezes the bar shows VLC is still caching (progressing orange bar) but nothing plays. I have tried increasing the cache to no avail. Also tried different outputs. It's my wife HP Stream 11, which played the programmes OK on Windows. I have an ideapad 320s and don't have any issues with VLC on Xcfe.
Any ideas as to how to solve VLC, or a suggested alternative to try?
