Redo backup

Post by AndyMH »

If like me, you use redo backup as an image backup tool, you are probably aware that it hasn't been maintained since around 2012. Their website http://www.redobackup.org/ is now up for sale.

If you are unhappy about using unsupported software now is probably the time to switch, but you can still download it from sourceforge.

I'll be continuing to use it - much simpler interface than clonezilla, and it does work, I've used it in anger several times.

If you burn the iso to usb you will probably find it won't boot. This is because it is a bog standard iso, not hybrid. You can convert it to a hybrid iso by following the instructions here:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/791238/ ... -a-usb-iso

You can then burn the modified iso to usb using your usb writer of choice. It will then boot.
