OBS Studio --- Locking up

Post by lewtwo »

I am running Release Linux Mint 19 Tara 64-bit, Kernel Linux 4.15.0-38-generic x86_64, MATE 1.20.1
on an HP8300 SFF with a Intell i7-3770, 32 Gbytes of Ram and an Nvidia Quadro P400 Display

I have installed OBS Studio 22.0.2 From the PPA listed on OBS's web site.
I am using it with a EZcap 261 video capture card on a USB 3 port.

The program keeps locking up. The only way to "exit" program is to keep clicking on the window decoration until the OS offers me an opportunity to FORCE the application to close. Then in a terminal Window I have to run ps -ef | grep OBS to find and kill its last child process. Then I can start the process all over again.

Anyone having similar problems ?????
