Since the past 3 weeks, my Dell notebook has been hanging in a very unusual way. I can move my cursor around, but cannot make a left-click or right-click. I can resolve the issue only with a restart.
Using Linix Mint 19 Cinammon. I think this happened after an update I executed a few weeks ago.
Could anyone please tell me how to get rid of this bug?

The first thing I'd suspect would be a kernel update that broke something. This is NOT all that unusual in Linux. To see, reboot and hold down the <shift> key as it starts to boot. The grub menu will come up and you can select the previous kernel from there.
