Recently reinstalled Linux Mint 18.3 on wife's laptop. Now, I'm getting this message when I want to shut down:
Anyone find a cure for this ailment?

Re: shutdown: gnome-keyring-daemon still running
It's a widely-reported issue with Cinn 18.3. Nothing bad happens if you ignore the warning, by the way; it just takes a while to shutdown (about a minute). Best workaround I've seen is to install the Session Manager applet and use that to shutdown or reboot. Details here.
FWIW, they seem to have solved the problem in LM19, so that's another option.
