Chrome and Passwords sync problem

Hello people. I got a problem, maybe stupid but remains a problem!

Installed Chrome. I signed in. All bookmarks synced like a charm.
But passwords, that's another story. No one synced.

Reboot/Restart didn't worked.
If I open chrome://settings/passwords the page is empty.

The link in there to Google Account works. If I login to google accounts, I see all the passwords OK in Google's page (https://passwords.google.com).

THEN, if I just wait to a page with a saved password for 10-15 seconds the username and password is entered/fetched after a while.
Good I say, it synced!

But no. For every page I have to wait ~10+ seconds to "fetch" the password somehow from google.
And this only if I login to google accounts page.

I am using Mint Cinnamon 19.1 and just installed the latest Chrome (yesterday).
Anyone else having this issue ?
