Caja wows and woes

Post by all41 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 4:02 pm

I have a rather obscure problem with Caja. (obscure to me, at least)

Firstly I noticed a couple icons in Side Pane/Places view were pointing to the wrong targets.
After much puzzlement a search of the forums turned up an answer--edit the file ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs to correct the paths.
Yeah forums :!: :D

The solution was posted by Mute Ant over 5 years ago here:
viewtopic.php?f=90&t=238531&p=1271409&h ... p1271409--
Thanks for that. 8)

Any enlightenment as to how this happens would be graciously appreciated.

Another glitch is shown in the caja image--the little "down arrows" for expanding the tabs now look like a small terminal with a red "NO" circle/slash symbol. I have not found a forums post addressing this.

I'm not sure when these corruptions occurred or what I did to evoke them. I did remove a lot of unwanted fonts
as being currently discussed in the forums. Perhaps this little arrow was among them?
