Amazon MP3 Downloader--on Mint 7 64 bit

Postby KevinC » Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:47 am

Tried to do the forced install (32 bit->64 bit) of the Amazon MP3 dl'er as outlined in this thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=692590
This worked fine in Jaunty 64 bit, but getlibs reports none of the 32 bit libraries can be found. I'm guessing this is perhaps a repository issue...i.e, Jaunty 64 has a particular repository enabled that Mint 7 64 bit does not? Or am I off base. I dl quite a few mp3s from Amazon since they're DRM free, so the MP3 dl'er would be great to get up and running, plus I prefer Mint to Ubuntu and I gotta have 64 bit to access > 4 gb of RAM (I have 8 gb).

Enable all the Ubuntu repos
I think all the standard Ubuntu ones are found in sources.list

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

'k...thx, I'll give that a go.I tried to compare & contrast from a sources.lst I copied from 64 bit Jaunty I have on an HP laptop...but it was late and I was tired and my started crossing. BTW, that thread I originally referred to still works w/ Jaunty b/c I installed Kubuntu 64 to another computer over the weekend to compare with Mint 7 KDE CE & the force install of Amazon MP3 dl'er and getlibs worked flawlessly...so it's gotta be a repo thing.
