Home .cache folder. Is it OK to clear this?
I need to install a Wine windows program that is fussing about how much space I have on my system drive. It seems the .cache is taking up a lot of space. Can I delete this?

Sure, but only after closing all the applications that are currently using this.

i do it quite often. my practice is delete everything in .cache then logOFF/IN to refresh the cache
remember that deleting the browser caches in .cache like google-chrome or mozilla will not delete your history for chrome browser or firefox. for that you need to use the browser menu
