[SOLVED] firefox add-on not found

Post by ckonn »

hi
a time ago have installed an add-on to firefox named 'zzzz'. an ad-blocker that is running at the moment.
now the output from the command whereis zzzz is:

Code: Select all

~ $ whereis zzzz
zzzz:
the output from the command

Code: Select all

~ $ which zzzz
is: nothing.
the output from command

Code: Select all

~ $ locate zzzz
contains the name 'zzzz' like part of the names of other programms ( that represents software complately different from the zzzz-add-on ) but not in the folders of firefox.

the output from the command

Code: Select all

~ $ locate firefox
does not contain the name 'zzzz'

why can't find the folder/s of zzzz add-on?

Hello, ckonn.

Firefox add-ons are not necessarily known to the Linux Mint Software Management system. They are, however, known to Firefox. And Firefox will also be able to tell where they are located.
So why do you not enter about:plugins in the Firefox address bar and find out what Firefox has to tell about the add-on 'zzzz'?

Regards,
Karl
