brasero not recognizing dvds

Post by calymea »

Hi, I installed brasero in 19.1 cinnamon and it does not recognize any dvd's that I insert. dvd's to copy, blank dvd's, any at all.I just get the message " please replace the disc with a supported cd or dvd". what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

Try Xfburn:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install xfburn
Then launch Xfburn from the menu.

Brasero performs notoriously *cough* non-stellar....

Another disc burner you might wish to try is "k3b".

I've used it for years and have never had an issue.

It's one of the things I've always appreciated about Linux. Trying free software, until you find the software package that works best for you.

Good Luck
