WINE: Where is c:?

Post by Nitya Deva » Sun Jul 14, 2019 6:52 am

If I try to run a install.exe or setup.exe with WINE, it seems that there's no problem to install something on c:\.
But where to find the c:\-path in linux?

Thank You very much!

Using: Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon on an Acer Aspire E-15

In my installation it's here:
/home/moem/.wine/drive_c
Keep in mind that it's a simulated c: drive, as there is no such thing in Linux.

bear in mind, that if you do have more than one ./wine installation,
then there will more than one C: drive - as well.

Hi Nitya Deva

If you use the command

Code: Select all

winecfg
and choose the "drives" tab, then click on autodetect, you can see all the drives wine detects and the linux directories they are connected with
