ALT+F4 stops working after reboot or re-log

Post by 1337ingDisorder » Tue Aug 20, 2019 11:49 am

This just started happening within the last week, probably about 4-5 days ago.

I've isolated the problem to Compiz, but I think it happened after I installed a batch of updates from Update Manager and looking through the log of updates I don't see any compiz updates, so might be something else causing a conflict.

Basically the problem is any time I log out and log back in, or any time I reboot, my ALT+F4 keyboard shortcut stops working.

I can get it working again by opening ccsm -> General Options -> Keybindings then changing the binding for "Close window" to something other then ALT+F4, and then changing it back to ALT+F4.

But obviously this is a hassle no one should have to do every single time they log in.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a fix?

Using Linux Mint 18.3 x64 MATE
