Has anyone tried Iridium? I never have so just wondering how it is.
https://iridiumbrowser.de/
Known for only providing security patches to the Chromium base a couple of times a year - so not a good choice - insecure.
Ok, I figured there must be a reason it doesn't seem to get much mention.

Catweazel lives just down the road from...The Australian Antarctic Penguin Breeding Facility which is quite large. At least he dosen't have to worry about DropBears down there because there's no trees. Image

... Catweasel is probably the reason I stuck with LM and this forum. When I first stated with LM in 2013 it was Catweasel's help enabled me to run RAID 0 on my first LM install - Others told me it could not be done or it was, not in so many words, a bad or dumb idea to run RAID 0 on LM. I wanted to do it and Catweasel went through the long tedious exercise of showing me how.

So for those who see my posts and think "oh no not him again" y'all can thank Catweasel.
That explains all the hate mail.

Yeah - there are probably less than 10 very knowledgeable, daily posters and he is one of them.
He just needs a cuddle every now and again.

Yes - Can you recommend an alternative browser to Firefox
There's also google.com, which can be used to search the web.
Interesting... I do miss the "gopher" days from time to time, and especially when I encounter a "flashy" website that insists on running a dozen or more scripts on my computer just to function. So how does one use "google.com" to substitute for a web browser? Telnet in via terminal, or...?

Please don't leave us in suspense (thanks!).

That's nonsensical. How is doing anything in Firefox going to serve as an alternative to Firefox?

I never said it was an "substitue" for a browser jorn rudolph had said,
Can you recommend an alternative browser to Firefox
cateazel replied,

It was you MDM who then said in reply to catweazel,
So how does one use "google.com" to substitute for a web browser? Telnet in via terminal, or...?
My understanding was they were referring to "alternative" browser whereas your answer used the word "substitute" instead of "alternative".

Did i miss something in the interpretation here???...DAMIEN

*sigh*
Come on, now. Catweazel most likely meant 'the answer to this question is easy to find in a search engine', not 'Google is a browser'.
Not his best answer ever, but also not one that warrants further discussion. Let it go, please.
