Kcalc

Postby tollgate » Mon Jun 11, 2007 2:39 pm

Hi

I'm running Mint KDE Bianca and want to install Kcalc (I don't like speedcrunch). When I try to install using adept I get "There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages."

Can anyone help.

Steve

if you use apt-get in a terminal it should give more information on the problem.
most likely it is a dependency problem.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kcalc

this may work or at least give us more info.

Thanks for the tip Boo.

There was indeed a problem with one of my repositories. I found a file in etc/apt called sources.list. One of the lines had a corrupt character. Corrected that and all is working.
