From what you have said autocad = work, you have no real alternative but to dual boot. None of the potential linux alternatives will be acceptable.

That's exactly how I work. I only use Windows for drawing. For everyone else - Linux.

After the unhappy experiences I had with two Acer netbooks, a desktop, and a mouse (the keyboard I had was merely "meh" rather than garbage like the others), I'm inclined to believe the problem is far more likely to be with your Acer.

Larry not only did the website, without him I would not have got the iso booting in UEFI mode. A joint effort and much appreciated. Thanks are also due to the rescuezilla dev - looking at his early work helped me on how to build an iso (it was a two way street, we then helped him get rescuezilla booting UEFI based on what Larry had learnt).

Very sorry. I wanted to help, I took the forum back a few pages, looking for AndyMH's message for the new version. I came across a link to download a pdf, shortened it a bit and came across the download page...

I think there is a small error in the website:

But, the downloaded foxclone46-sources.tar.gz has these properties :

I use GtkHash for that, much easier to use, and it displays ALL of the different methods

the backup worked great, like always.

UK link downloads less than half way and times out.
