That's exactly how I work. I only use Windows for drawing. For everyone else - Linux.

Me too.

Larry not only did the website, without him I would not have got the iso booting in UEFI mode. A joint effort and much appreciated. Thanks are also due to the rescuezilla dev - looking at his early work helped me on how to build an iso (it was a two way street, we then helped him get rescuezilla booting UEFI based on what Larry had learnt).

Very sorry. I wanted to help, I took the forum back a few pages, looking for AndyMH's message for the new version. I came across a link to download a pdf, shortened it a bit and came across the download page... :oops:

Just as an idea - why not add an RSS feed to the site...

@AndyMH

Foxclone is great for disk cloning (second only to dd and ddrescue) !

I think there is a small error in the website:
https://foxclone.com/download.php says that MD5(foxclone46-sources.tar.gz) == 0ef0ef63981fc95f59d3253d79ba74d5 .

But, the downloaded foxclone46-sources.tar.gz has these properties :
MD5(foxclone46-sources.tar.gz) == 02a37dbe7ef0431cc9f9864aeb360bcf
SHA256(foxclone46-sources.tar.gz) == 73be413d86b8906cbd95d51e7bba29f15eab5196094f5233b3da84e51958d6b7

BLAKE2(foxclone46-sources.tar.gz) == 618d79c525fbbac90ee2a89ee259b84d73939f15d7afe1c2f11e16970d3a261092bce8e996ca88dac8a61f19bf57ce66894e95db39edd2d4a0bf138250d74ffe
SIZE(foxclone46-sources.tar.gz) == 2117542 bytes

It would also be better if the download page has a SHA256 checksum too...

BTW I'd be happy to help if you want to rewrite foxclone in Python or C++ (with Qt for its GUI).

I use GtkHash for that, much easier to use, and it displays ALL of the different methods

it is in Software Manager

I was saying that the Foxclone download website has incorrect hashes.

@SimonPeter - You are correct, the MD5 is wrong for the sources on the website. I'll look into the reason tonight and double-check all of them.

Having issues with foxclone.com at the moment, so until we and the hosting provider figure out what the problem is foxclone is also at:
https://foxclone.org/
not as pretty, but it's all there.

I just downloaded V46, then ran a test to my extUSB Seagate Hub ext4 backup drive.

the backup worked great, like always.
