LibreOffice Calc Version: 6.3.5.2 - find & replace missing formatting

Post by LM19point3Lover »

Hello there,

I have been using Linux and LibreOffice for a couple of years now, and when using LibreOffice Calc's Find & replace, I'm really missing the formatting option (in LibreOffice Writer it is available!).

I'm using Linux Mint 19.3 (Mate), and LibreOffice 6.3.5.2.

You might wonder why I need this function: thanks to the COVID-19 lockdown in my country, I have work from home, and have a spreadsheet with a lot of data; sadly, one bit of data is jumbled with other data in one column, so I want to find & replace certain data, and then sort the spreadsheet by, say, font colour blue and green. The spreadsheet has over 10,000 lines, so this would take me for ever, and ever.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Many thanks,
LM19point3lover
I'm using Linux Mint 19.3 (Mate) on a retired Dell OptiPlex 1070.
