LM20 new install, fails to shut down properly

Post by AZgl1500 »

Installed 24 hours ago, messed with it a bit, it needs a lot of tweaking to make me happy, like I am with my 19,3 Cinnamon...
but that is Preferences..

Problem is, after updating the OS, I asked it to shutdown, which it did NOT.
It hung somewhere, and since I did not have the "splash turn off", I can't see where it stopped.

I can't remember where the Log is to reference what happened.

here is what I have:

I still don't know where to find the system log that will tell me why LM20 did not shut down properly.
However, whatever it was got fixed on a reboot. I have shut it down twice and it does that properly now.

leaving this open for comments.

While I typed the above note, a Crash Report showed on screen
Crash Report.png

I copied that file to the Desktop, and discovered it is Binary....
nothing there to tell ME what happened.
