Hi
Installed Mint 20 Mate and cant find the Application Updater.
Failed to find it via synaptic. tried update-mgr and similar via shell. What is the actual name of the binary?
how can I install it?
or does MATE something else, that I can't find?

It is called
mintupdate
.
Use this to check to see if you have it installed:
It should have been installed already when you installed Mint though, so something is awry.

Program not installed.

If you have just recently installed Mint then it did not work correctly and you should reinstall.
If it worked fine before but the problem has just arisen then you should use TimeShift to restore a snapshot that was taken before the issue arose.
