(solved) catfish demands a lot of memory ram usage - options?

Hello. Every time use Catfish to search for a file, it demands a lot of memory usage, or at least I believe, since my cooler processor starts spinning quite fast. And most of times it doesn't stop, I must to open "task manager " in order to kill Catfish..
I wonder why this is happening, is there a way to change its behaviour? Is there another app to search for files? ( I also wish there were one that include real an accurate option to search for words inside .doc. odt files , but this is another topic I think)

Try gnome-search-tool, which I preferred over catfish; it's now called mate-search-tool and it's in package mate-utils. There's also searchmonkey, which should be in the repos.

It works ! thank you, after instaling "mate-utils" from synaptics ,I only had to create a launcher with this order included "mate-search-tool".
By the way it is good it included a search inside files as I ment in my opening post. Thank you very much.

I almost forgot, you can use mate-search rather than catfish in thunar:

thunar -> Edit -> Config custom actions -> Search -> change catfish %f to mate-search-tool --path=%f, hit OK.
