I managed to get the F-droid app store on my android phone and was wondering if I can get it on my Linux Laptop running LinuxMint?
Is there like an app/program that can get F-droid for my laptop so I can use NewPipe to watch YouTube vids?
Or if there is another way to get NewPipe cuz I couldn't find it in the linuxmint repository or the whatever the linuxmint app store thingy is (Forgot what it's official name was, clearly I'm still a noobie).
I would like to use NewPipe but if it's not possible is there another way to Watch YouTube with privacy in mind?
Here are the links to F-droid and newpipe

You could try Anbox, it's a compatibility layer to use Android apps on desktop Linux systems. But I'm not sure how well it works. Worth a try, I think!
It's probably easier and more reliable to find a native Linux program that offers what you like about NewPipe. Since you care about privacy, try FreeTube. There is a .deb file that installs easily: https://freetubeapp.io/

If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!

Or you could use Invidio.us (https://redirect.invidious.io/)

As moem says there are Linux alternatives, smplayer makes one too. I see many people here who seem to think that because Android is Linux based then they can run Android apps. Linux as in Mint is actually GNU/Linux. ANdroid uses a Linux kernel in a proprietary wrapper.

Are there any alternatives like this that support 32 bit systems?
