THunderbird stopped working. uninstalled and downloaded through Software MAnager (MInt 20) No icon, removed again and downloaded. same result.
Any suggestions?

When you say you "deleted" Thunderbird, did you uninstall it? Please describe exactly what you did.

Welcome to the Forums.
Go to Synaptic package manager (Menu>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager) Do a search for Thunderbird and mark it for install or reinstall whatever the case my be.
