Evolution doesn't download [SOLVED]

Post by 52ROSt »

LM20.1 Cinnamon, updated.

I have 2 PCs, Workhorse and Backup. Same LM version is installed on both PCs.

On my Workhorse PC Evolution does not receive but only sends mail.

On my Backup PC Evolution sends and receives mails without any problem.

Both PCs are connected to the same WiFi-network.

What could be the route cause and what could be the solution?

Thanks in advance for helping comments.

Same version of Evolution? If so, maybe copy over the .evolution directory from backup to the primary.

There are actually (3) Evolution directories, although the one in $HOME/.cache isn't vital:

Code: Select all

$HOME/.local/share/evolution (your local mailboxes)
$HOME/.config/evolution (main configuration)
$HOME/.cache/evolution (cached copies of your accounts)
If you use your own colors/icons for folders/calendars, then the cache directory is also required (not sure why they use that).

Thanks for your replies. Very helpful if someone is really in troubles and not only stupid like me.

Solution this morning: changed a wrongly made filter setting from "contains not" to "contains". All my mail went into a special folder and I saw this only this morning.

Again thanks!
