2) Running the GUI version of gdebi to install Chrome or Vivaldi results in error messages;-
"An unhandled error occurred”
Whilst you can close the error msg, again one cannot close gdebi without forcing a quit.
3) However, if you save the .deb file in Downloads then run gdebi from a terminal the system will correctly install the required file. For example;-

sudo gdebi ~/Downloads/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
As this error does not seem to appear in the forums it may be unique to this system.
