Not able to sync Google account in Chromium

I am not able to sync Google account in Chromium by clicking on the sync feature.
once i sign in using the google credentials, it still display the sync option.

I installed google chromium by using the command 'sudo apt-get install chromium'
I need google account for importing all the extensions and bookmarks i used in another computer.

What should i do it actually turn it on?

Google Disabled chromium's ability to sync last Month I believe and you will no longer be able to sync Chromium browser to google accounts.

so if you did not keep a local copy you'll most likely have to install chrome to retrieve them.
