Hiyall,
I have a NAS drive using 20.1 Xfce OS. I want to move data from it to my 'Everyday' laptop and the other way (mainly). I use the NAS without a monitor and it is turned off most of the time. Is there a way to automate Warpinator so that it turns on automatically on boot up? (and therefore visible to the Everyday computer)

Re: Warpinator and NAS
I suppose you can just run it from the desktop startup applications? For Xfce I believe it was "Session & Startup" in Settings.

Thanx Rene,
I'll try that.

Just noticed it does mean you should be auto-login in a user on the Xfce NAS so as to be able to have "desktop startup applications". Probably fine but if not I need to check alternatives more specifically tomorrow.

Hi Rene,
I think I'm trying to outsmart myself!
NAS drive without monitor can't use Warpinator.

Works fine in fact. Of course, other than logging in a user automatically you will also need to for said user start Warpinator automatically and set it to not require confirmation for receiving files, both those in Warpinator's options available from its hamburger-menu. Note by the way that I was last time I responded not yet on 20 myself; am now, and see that Warpinator runs OOTB on 20.1 when set via said hamburger menu; no need for manual Startup Application additions.
