Hi
This is a really minor niggle and I am just curious really.
I dual boot with Windows 10 and for some reason I can get the volume much louder from my PC in the Windows environment than my Linux set up? I mean it's not quiet at all in Mint - it's still more than loud enough, I was just curious what would cause the difference? I have checked Alsamixer and things and can't see anything obvious.
As I say, it's more of a curiosity really.

Don't know if this applies..
In Cinnamon if you click on the speaker icon in the right hand panel & select Sound Settings
Then click on the Settings tab. The default Amplification Setting is, I believe set to 100% but you can increase that to 150%..

Thanks RIH - I can increase it that way but even then I don't seem to get it as loud as when I boot into the other OS - it's not a huge thing I was just curious
