No PPA Google Chrome-stable SOLVED
Because Chromium no longer coordinates with Google I added Google Chrome-stable. It works just fine but I see no PPA? Will that keep it from updating. How to get PPA at this point?

Re: No PPA Google Chrome-stable
I already did that, Chrome stable is up and running.
I could have asked the question better:
I installed Chrome-stable using the deb option rather than the ppa option, thus I have no ppa listed in software. The question is whether Chrome -stable installed by deb will update as software updates???

Hello, StevenGarland.
Execute the terminal command It should list, in addition to the normal Linux Mint software repositories, a Google Chrome repositoy.
In Software Sources it will be found under "Additonal Package Sources".
Only developer repositories, hosted on Launchpad, are referred to as "PPAs".
Best regards,
Karl

Thanks Karl. I see it that way.
I see that google chrome-beta is also getting updates. Had 2 today. Not so sure that I like that.

Re: No PPA Google Chrome-stable
Still using Chromium (90.0.4430.212) as installed via Flatpak. However it now appears to have lost the ability to store passwords. It offers to save them when I fill in the login details for various sites. But if I logout I then I have to complete the details once again. Maybe it's time to ditch it and move back to Firefox, which doesn't have such an issue.
