Hi,
I'm using an Acer Swift 3 laptop and for some reason it has keyboard backlight ON by default on startup with no way to make it OFF by default in bios or any other way.
I want to make a startup command which would disable keyboard backlight when the laptop starts up. To achieve this, I want to find out either the required codes for the FN key or backlight key.
I managed to find the event code for FN key by using evtest, but when I press it, I'm not getting MSC_READ values from it. Same with xev.
My function key works and I'm able to disable the keyboard backlight manually, but I just want to automate it.
