Mint 19.3 Update Manager error

Post by whlangford »

When attempting to update 19.3 in preparation for upgrading to 20.2 I ran Update Manager and received the error message "E type sudo is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tor.list The list of sources could not be read". System Report returns the same error message as does Software Manager. Software Sources returned the same message with the addition This is a serious error witch should be reported to the developers. So I have.

Here is the info on my machine in case it helps:

Looks like you tried to install tor incorrectly? Not sure what you did how, but Line 1 in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tor.list is incorrect.

Also, it appears that you're still trying to use an EvoWise mirror, so I'd review this as well ...
