On my desktop system, clicking or double clicking on a text file in the home directory launches virtual box. Problem seems confined to this one machine.
Same if I right click and select notepad. OK if I manually select open with. Default is set to notepad. Only see this problem in home directory, ok in all sub directories. Removing and re-installing nemo doesn't fix.
Does anyone have any ideas. I'm not going to re-install for this silly problem

Set xed (Text editor) as the default (preferred) application for text files.
