Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
If the program is broken, as you indicate in your first post, then there's probably nothing anyone here can do, I'm sorry. All that you can do is uninstall it, reboot, and perhaps look for an alternative.

I do not have a Desktop Icon. Ran from searching for Exodus from the Menu button..
Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
Well, I thought that you had tried that already..
It seems to me more likely that it is some difference between our systems that is causing you an issue, rather than an issue with the actual program.
If you can paste back in a reply (between the code </> tags) the result of entering
Code: Select all
inxi -Fxxxrz

Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
OK, we had better go through this slowly, stage by stage as Exodus was a Flatpak Application - I guess that was probably why Kadaitcha Man didn't see it in the Software Manager.
Flatpaks are rather stubborn to remove, but if you only have the Exodus Flatpak on your system then that would make it easier.
So open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T on the keyboard will do it). Then copy entry below & right mouse click into your terminal window & press Paste, then Enter.
Then copy & paste back in a new Forum reply any output from your terminal..
The terminal command will list what Flatpak Applications you have on your system.
If the terminal reply is just Exodus then we can remove Flatpak completely from your system which is just a copy & paste of a few terminal commands..

Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
Unfortunately you have multiple Flatpak Applications so you cannot totally remove Flatpak.
The following put into a terminal will, in theory, remove the Exodus Application.
Unfortunately it will not remove all the files created by the Exodus Flatpak Application.
As you have now installed a Debian Exodus package, hopefully that will have overwritten any important settings.
However, I am fairly sure that it will be next to impossible for you to manually now remove anything that Exodus Flatpak has left over.
Hopefully, this will not impinge on the smooth operation of the Debian package..

Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
Thank you for coming back, i fallow the install instructions on the exodus linux ubuntu page.
Actually you saying, remove both exodus and do fresh install? Or leave as it is and use the one that is now working.
Quest:
Can i remove the Exodus (flatpak) icon from start menu?

Re: desktop icon not responding after program crash
If the .deb install is working fine for you then I would leave it as it is.
You could right mouse click on the icon in the start menu & take the uninstall option, however I am unsure if that would leave the .deb package completely untouched so it is safer to..
Right mouse click on the Start Menu icon & select Configure.
Click on the Menu tab & then on the Open Menu Edit button.
In the left hand column click on the Group that contains the two icons.
In the middle column un-select the Flatpak icon by left mouse clicking on it to remove the tick mark.
Close the Editor & the Menu layout tab.
