Why would you think it would not work? Do you run Noscript, or a sandbox of some kind?

Because all that is supposed to be installed when we accept the proposal, either on Linux or on Windows, by memory, is not able to install itself from an internet browser, for example Adobe Flash in the past for its updates, and hier on Linux, browsers especially and other kind of applications have to be installed by a deb file or else

If you didn't type your password nothing is actually installed. My guess is that it is a browser process that continues to run and the shortcut is a browser window. If I'm right, rebooting should make it disappear, too.

It stays after the reboot

In the properties of this shortcut or launcher, I have this :

Code: Select all

/opt/brave.com/brave/brave-browser --profile-directory=Default --app-id=nlalbmkafgmoifbeooblidblkmlhhpnc
Finally I lauched it when brave was allready started, I was afraid that it could make me lose my current session tabs but no

Did a quick bit of googling and guessing it's a PWA (Progressive Web App).

From what I can see TikTok have implemented them. Here's a Chrome article talking about it and here's one about PWAs on Brave: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/ho ... e-browser/.

Anyway, if you do a bit of searching along these lines it might help identify if this is what it is.
