I vaguely recall that when I first install LM, I have to do something extra to configure it to remember my SSH passphrase, which it will require only once until I logout.
Now I'm wondering how is this configured?
How did I get LM to remember my SSH passphrase?

About half way down this page:
https://linuxdigest.com/howto/do-i-need ... y-ssh-key/
read under the heading 'Can SSH remember the passphrase of my key?'
I'm not sure if that answers your question or not.

I probably should have added that I can see ssh-agent is running, but I didn't know about that until I was just searching for it.
I'm pretty sure that Mint was asking me to do something. Maybe I'll make a second profile and see what happens.
