Recent documents not showing recent documents

Post by Peggydawg »

Hi there,

Neither the recent documents nor the places applet on my cinnamon panels are recording or showing recent documents. I have set the privacy settings to remember recently accessed documents, I have removed and put the applets back, and I have tried restarting cinnamon, but still nothing. Any suggestions or advice welcome.

Thank you!

PD

Hi, and welcome to the forum. When did this quit working for you?

Go to the menu - type 'dconf' - start deconf-editor - navigate to /org/gnome/desktop/privacy/remember-recent-files - and see if 'Use default value' is checked.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Not sure when it stopped working, but I have since realised the issue is with Libre Office docs opened directly from within the software. Files opened from Nemo or within another software (e.g. GIMP) show up on the recent documents OK, so I guess it's a Libre Office issue.

Thanks again!

I agree. But the Recent Docs in Libre Office does work well.
