I have a new installation of Linux Mint 20.2; the purpose of the installation is to build a custom Android ROM. This installation is completely new and I'm working as a user with sudo privileges. GnuPG is installed and I have created a personal gpg key. I have opened up the repo installation directory to "777".
I am unable to initialize "repo" (which I think is the same as "git-repo"). I have installed "snap" and "git-repo" itself, but when I try to initialize repo I get:
Code: Select all
~/bin/repo/install_dir$ repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git
warning: gpg (GnuPG) is not available.
warning: Installing it is strongly encouraged.
fatal: cannot make /home/jlarysz/bin/repo/install_dir/.repo/repo directory: Permission denied
