Gdebi hangs with dbus timeout error

Post by jimbo64 »

I've noticed that if you go to install a package with gdebi, but wait too long to enter your password at the prompt, it causes it to throw a dbus error.

After then, whether you enter your password correctly or not, the main window of gdebi will lock up and can't be used or closed. The package doesn't get installed and I had to kill gdebi by opening a terminal and using pkill.

What's the best way to help get this fixed?
