lm20.2 Cinn Invoke a launcher at startup

Post by sadhu »

I have a custom launcher (a script) that runs in a terminal. When the script terminates (by user 'press any key to close'), the terminal closes. I would like to create a startup launcher that does the same thing. Unfortunately, there is no "start in terminal" checkbox for startup launchers.

How do I execute an existing custom launcher from the System Settings > startup applications window? A startup launcher gnome-terminal -e /ddr/bin/script just hangs when it completes, and I have to close the terminal manually.

Thanks

Well I got the terminal work ok by adding "kill $PPID" as the last line.

But still, is there any way to launch a launcher via the startup menu?
