Update 2: "sudo alsa force-reload" solved the problem. But why???
Update: Didn't do anything, the video streaming started to work but Line Out audio does not work. Audio only goes to speakers on the monitor.
Just performed a software update. Internet is connected properly and browsing is fine but youtube and other streaming websites stopped working in any web browser (firefox and chrome). Videos will load the first frame (buffing is there and proper too) but will not play. Pop-up message reads: if playback does not begin shortly, try to restart your device. Restarted twice, still not working. Internet radio stopped working too.

There was an update of alsa last night/today. That may have derailed things until you did the reload.
If you think the issue is solved, edit your original post and add the word solved to the title.
