[SOLVED] Nemo's search function

Post by Menard »

Hi

I experienced some missing features on Nemo
Someone has a solution ?

- Ability to search for 2 letters as UK for example
- Ability to search for all éléments if nothing is typed in the search box, that displays all the elements

Um, I don’t understand at all - In Nemo 5.0.3 (20.2 live session) the search will “find” even a single letter (recursively also in [sub]folders),
an empty search field will count / find all files?

As said by sanmig "an empty search field will count / find all files?" here you are, all files and folders = all elements

and this because Nemo in the properties of a folder, uses this word "éléments" (? in english) for the item "Contenu" (content ?) and this word is the translation given by Google

I think I am going to install an english Mint to improve my english , I decided it

I have 20.2 on an USB stick i ll test it

So when you open Nemo and it displays all the files and folders in perhaps your Home directory, if you hit the search button and don't enter anything the program does not displays all the files and folders in that directory? I don't see that on my system. The elements shown are the same.

It is the same, that changes nothing when I click on this search button
On XP that displays all files and folders including all those contained in the subfolders

OK I tested on LM 20.2 and this is the solution for both problems of this subject
So I have just installed it on sda2 (I don't like to upgrade because I faced problem in the past by upgrading from 18.2 to 19.3, it stopped updating mesa or xorg)
Thanks :D
