Re: Mint 19.1 Mate and Firefox 94.0 32 Bit
Hello, Rainer.
The Linux Mint repos have never offered, either the Firefox update 94.0.1, nor the Firefox update 94.0.2, neither for 64-bit, nor for 32-bit.
As the output above reveals, even the official Ubuntu repos are stuck on Firefox 94.0. So it is not only the Linux Mint repos.
Anyway. The reason, why your Firefox crashes, very likely is related to something in your Firefox profile or inside the Firefox cache directories.
So the following steps are suggested in order to resolve the Firefox crashes:

- Close Firefox
- Delete the complete Firefox cache, i.e. remove
~/.cache/mozilla
including its content. - Start Firefox again and find out whether it will work without crashing again.

Hallo Karl,
following your suggestions, i purge all cache for cookies and web data.
check of my action, new cache size was 0 kb.
Just run in the first crash by surfing on https://www.tagesschau.de and links in the same domain in private windows/tabs after about 10 min.
kind regards
Rainer

Hello, Rainer.
The wording below

The wording below
raises my doubts, whether you have really followed the 3 steps given by me.
- Close Firefox
- Delete the complete Firefox cache, i.e. remove
~/.cache/mozilla
including its content. - Start Firefox again and find out whether it will work without crashing again.

Hello, Rainer.
In case following the 3 steps given by me should not resolve the problem, then I would suggest a more drastic approach.
The more drasic approach would include temporarily moving aside the current Firefox user profile, too. But in such a way that it will be possible to move it back into its old place afterwards. So nothing will be lost.

- Close Firefox. It must not be running any longer.
- Clear the Firefox chache sub-directories completely. Terminal command:
rm -rf ~/.cache/mozilla
- Move aside the current Firefox user profile, but without deleting it. Terminal command:
mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla.bak
- Launch Firefox again. It will create a new fresh user profile.
- Visit the webpage https://www.tagesschau.de. Do more surfing to find out whether the crash happens again.
- Close Firefox. It must not be running any longer.
- Remove the fresh Firefox user profile, created above. Terminal command:
rm -rf ~/.mozilla
- Move the old Firefox user profile into the old place. Terminal command:
mv ~/.mozilla.bak ~/.mozilla
- Launch Firefox again. You should be back to were you started from, using your old profile
